Behaviour Mentor Job Description:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Behaviour Mentor to join a vibrant mainstream primary school in Tooting, SW17. This role is focused on supporting and mentoring pupils in Key Stage 2, helping to promote positive behaviour and engagement with learning.

Behaviour Mentor Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Key Stage 2 students who need behavioural support, helping them to manage and improve their behaviour.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual student needs.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to help improve their emotional well-being and academic engagement.
  • Support teachers in maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to develop personalised behaviour plans for students.

Behaviour Mentor Requirements:

  • Experience in a behaviour mentoring role or working with children with behavioural needs.
  • Ability to build rapport with pupils and encourage positive behaviour.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • A passion for making a difference in young people's lives.
