We have a full-time opportunity for an experienced Early Years Teacher to join a lovely primary school in Muswell Hill on a full-time basis in January 2025 to provide maternity cover.

The Role

You will be joining the school on a full-time basis as a class teacher within the schools Early Years Foundation Stage. There is a large number pupils with Special Educational needs in the class so previous experience supporting students with SEND is important. There is a team of Teaching Assistants in the class who will require direction and leadership.

This small, inclusive and diverse primary school is based in Muswell Hill, close to Highgate woods and is a popular choice for families in the local community. As a Church of England School, Christian values are a core part of the curriculum. The school has a real family feel and there is good support from senior leadership for both teachers and support staff. The school is committed to providing the highest quality of education through a broad and balanced curriculum with lots of enrichment activities.

The school are looking for:

  • A confident teacher with QTS and a minimum of 1 year experience in Early Years
  • Good EYFS subject knowledge, including the teaching of phonics;
  • Experience of tracking progress following EYFS guidance
  • Excellent behaviour management skills;
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • An ‘above and beyond’ attitude to creating exciting learning opportunities for children

This is a full-time Teacher contract role from September 2024 to July 20245 inclusive.
