Veritas Education are working with a lovely OFSTED 'good' school that are looking to hire a couple of intervention teachers from now until the end of the academic year. We are currently looking for a qualified primary teacher for a full-time intervention role in KS1 and KS2 at a primary school in Wandsworth. You will hold QTS or equivilent and have experience working in primary schools. The role is to begin as soon as possible and you must be available to work from 8.15am - 4pm. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher who is passionate about making a real difference in students' progress through targeted intervention.

As an intervention teacher you will be joining a highly talented team of staff, governors and families at the school who ensure that it is a very special place to be. Intervention teachers responsibilities are simple, to deliver the school vision each day. The vision is simple; to learn, create and grow together is this ethos is characterised by their focus on learning, their creative spiriit and their commitment to health and wellbeing for the community.

Key responsibilities for Primary Intervention Teacher include:

  • Delivering targeted intervention sessions to groups of students in KS1 or KS2
  • Supporting students in achieving their learning goals in core subjects
  • Developing and implementing tailored lesson plans and strategies to meet individual needs
  • Tracking and assessing student progress, providing feedback to staff and parents
  • Helping build students' confidince and enthusiasm for learning

To be considered for the role of Primary Intervention Teacher you will:

  • Hold QTS or equivalent
  • Have good teaching experience in a primary school setting
  • Have high expectations for learning and behaviour
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students, fostering a positive learning environment
  • Previous experience with intervention programs is desirable but not essential
