Teach Plus are currently working with an 'Outstanding' primary school located in Acton who are seeking an interventions PPA teacher.

The school is committed to providing the best learning experiences for every child. Their aim is to provide a curriculum that meets the needs of all the pupils and prepare them for next stage in their learning.

They set and achieve high standards, through practical learning and a thematic approach to learning.

As an Interventions PPA Teacher, you will be required to:

  • Identify each pupils struggles and assist them to get back on track
  • Understand and be able to use a range of strategies to deal with classroom behaviour as a whole and also individual behavioural needs; to promote effective behaviour.
  • Provide a calm, constructive working environment to enable the pupils to carry out the planned work/activities in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Mark any completed work in accordance with the marking policy.
  • Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies within the class, according to the school's policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate for the Interventions PPA Teacher role will have:

  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
  • Experience teaching interventions in primary schools in the UK
  • A flexible, can-do attitude and be able to adapt quickly to new environments
  • A strong work ethic who is willing to commit for at least one academic year
  • UK recognized Teaching Qualification with QTS
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
