Active Recruitment are working with an Outstanding mainstream Primary school in East London, who are seeking a full time Key stage 1 Teacher to start in January 2025 on a temp to perm basis. In this role you will be teaching a mixed-aged class of both Year 1 and Year 2 pupils.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Key Stage 1 Teacher:

  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons following the school curriculum
  • To plan lessons and activities to meet pupils individual learning needs
  • To use a range of appropriate strategies and follow school policies for teaching, behaviour management and classroom management
  • Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievement of pupils
  • Adapt teaching and lessons to meet the needs of all students
  • Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
