A 2 Form Entry Primary School in Waltham Forest, London are seeking an experienced KS1 primary teacher to join them in September 2023 to teach a either a Year 1 or Year 2 class and lead on a subject. This will be dependent on your skills and preference.

This wonderful primary school located in the heart of Waltham Forest, London has great transport links as well as huge staff car park.

They are specifically looking for an experienced KS1 primary teacher who either has experience leading a subject or an experienced teacher who wants to take the next step in their career and to lead a core subject.

You must hold QTS and have at least 2 years KS1 teaching experience in the UK as well as completed your ECT induction. You must be an outstanding practitioner with ambition and have a real focus on making an impact to children's learning. You must be passionate about teaching and learning and have strong teaching references.

The Role:

  • Plan and prepare engaging lessons based on individuals needs and motivate all learners
  • Teach according to the children's educational and emotions needs
  • Mark in line with the schools policies and procedures
  • Completed ongoing assessments, recording progress and reporting to middle and senior leaders
  • Communicate effectively with parents & carers with regard to pupils achievements and well being
  • Have responsibility and develop leadership under the direction of SLT for leadership and management of a subject
  • To ensure that the subject complies with all statutory requirements in terms of the curriculum assessment and recording and reporting of pupils attainment and progress
  • Lead a team effectively to achieve strong outcomes
  • Lead a core or foundation subject across KS1 or whole school
