Midday-Meals Supervisor

Primary Schools in Lambeth are recruiting for Midday-MealsSupervisors to work flexible hours Monday to Friday.

Purpose of post:

  • To ensure mealtimes are pleasant social and learning experiences for the children
  • To ensure lunchtime is a calm period and that good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained
  • To provide cover for staff taking lunchbreaks

Main Duties:

  • Helping to organise children in the hall, classrooms and outside areas, encouraging good manners and supporting healthy eating
  • Supervising, leading and supporting play activities and encouraging children to participate productively in lunchtime activities
  • Promoting independence and positive behaviour
  • Ensuring the safety and welfare of all our pupils
  • Managing pupil behaviour at lunchtimes
  • Dealing with minor first aid needs
  • Assisting with associated duties (e.g. cleaning up spillages, ensuring pupil hygiene)
