Are you a passionate and adaptable primary-trained teacher looking for a new and rewarding challenge? We are seeking a Primary Trained PPA Teacher to join a dynamic SEND school in Lewisham. This full-time supply role offers the opportunity for a permanent position, providing an excellent chance to grow within a supportive, child-centred environment.

The school caters to students with a range of special educational needs, and while SEND experience is preferred, it is not essential. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. The successful candidate must hold QTS and have a strong background in primary teaching.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality PPA cover across various classes in the school
  • Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners
  • Work closely with class teachers and support staff to ensure consistent support for all students
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Help nurture pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
Requirements:
    • Supply teacher (not a permanent post although there is a possibility this will change at a later date)
    • Full time 5 days per week (not negotiable)
    • PPA cover only
    • Qualified teacher
    • SEN experience preferred
    • Primary UK trained and proven experience in primary schools
    • Ability to provide PPA cover across all of primary - reception to year 6
    • Ability to hit the ground running and provide differentiated lessons to groups with varying abilities and SEN
    • Majority of our pupils have ASD or social and communication issues
    • Responsible for own lesson planning. Time is allocated for planning and prep
    • This post is covering a long term sickness so we expect it to be open until the end of the Spring term and probably until the end of the academic year
    • Not suitable for someone in secondary who is looking to move into primary
    • Interview to consist of informal chat with member of senior leadership team and possibly a trial lesson
