Are you a dedicated Primary Teacher with a passion for supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

GSL Education are seeking for an enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join a Primary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) at a client school in Islington, offering an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives.

About the Role:
As a Primary PRU Teacher, you will be working with students who require additional support due to SEMH needs. This role will allow you to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, using your skills to inspire and engage students in overcoming challenges and reaching their potential.

Responsibilities for a Primary PRU Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH.
  • Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that fosters learning and personal growth.
  • Work closely with support staff and other professionals to develop strategies that assist students in managing their social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback to help them succeed academically and personally.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to accommodate individual learning styles and needs.

Requirements for a Primary PRU Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience working in primary education.
  • Previous experience teaching in a PRU or with students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a compassionate approach.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and motivate students in a supportive learning environment.
