JOB TITLE: Primary School Librarian
SALARY: £30k
START DATE: September 2024
CONTRACT: Full Time & Permanent
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday (8am – 4pm)
SCHOOL: Working in a Primary School
LOCATION: Tottenham, Haringey
We are a flourishing Multi-Academy Trust, founded with the aim of improving the life chances and raising the aspirations of young people. We currently have 10 schools located across London.
We are looking for a school Librarian to start in September 2024 in our fantastic Primary School. We are looking for an experienced librarian who has experience working in schools or libraries.
Job Description
· To organise and manage the library
· Ensuring the effective use of the library by classes, groups & individuals
· Training, supervising and managing library staff
· Creating and implementing a library policy for the school
· Taking responsibility to manage the library budget
· Organising and promoting library resources and ICT equipment
· Support teaching and learning through the school
· Supervising students who are independently using the library
· Promoting reading and the enjoyment of reading in all its forms
Person Specification
· Good academics across the board
· Confident and proactive
· Passion for reading and English / literature
· Organised, hard working and good interpersonal skills
· High standards
· Warm and a personable manner
· Ability to be front of house
· Previous experience in a school / library is desirabl
