Job Title: Year 1 Primary School Teacher

Location: Balham, SW12

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (Starting February)

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Balham, SW12, is seeking a Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a fixed-term contract starting in February. • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons for a Year 1 class.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive.
• Assess, monitor, and support pupils' progress in line with the school's policies.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and enhance the curriculum.
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and the wider school community.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 1, is advantageous.
• Strong classroom management skills and a nurturing approach.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
