Key responsibilities of a Primary Teacher:

  • Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the prescribed curriculum, catering to the diverse learning needs and abilities of your students.
  • Creating a positive and conducive learning environment is essential for effective teaching. You establish clear routines, rules, and expectations, maintaining discipline while also encouraging student autonomy and responsibility.
  • Recognising that every child is unique, you tailor your teaching approach to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Provide support to students who require additional assistance.
  • Regularly assess student progress through various methods and analysing assessment data, identify areas of strength and weakness, to enable adjustments to teaching strategies accordingly to meet the needs of each student.
  • Effective communication with parents. Maintain open and transparent communication channels, providing regular updates on student progress, addressing concerns, and collaborating with parents to support their child's learning journey.
  • Nurturing students' emotional intelligence and social skills. Create opportunities for collaboration, peer interaction, and emotional expression, fostering a supportive classroom community where every child feels valued and respected.
  • Embracing diversity and inclusivity, you create an inclusive learning environment where every student feels welcomed and supported.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
