A primary teacher is needed for an alternative provision in North London for students with special educational needs aged 4-11.

As a primary teacher, you will be working with students who have been permanently excluded from mainstream schools.

This school is easily accessible from around London, with great transport links.

Being a primary teacher at this SEN school, you will become a part of a highly supportive team with exceptional senior leadership and fantastic resources.

Willingness to do personal care is preferred for this role of primary teacher.

Your responsibilities as a primary teacher may include:

  • Lesson planning and delivery for students with a range of learning difficulties and complex needs.
  • Helping students to develop confidence and independence.
  • Implementing behaviour management techniques, which may include physical restraints, to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Working with specialist teaching services, medical staff, counsellors, and psychologists
  • Being aware of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students.

To be a primary teacher, you will need:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or overseas trained teacher awaiting QTS.
  • A clear and up-to-date DBS
  • Experience working as a teacher in a UK school.
