Midday-Meals Supervisor
Primary Schools in Greenwich are recruiting for Midday-MealsSupervisors to work flexible hours Monday to Friday.
Purpose of post:
- To ensure mealtimes are pleasant social and learning experiences for the children
- To ensure lunchtime is a calm period and that good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained
- To provide cover for staff taking lunchbreaks
Main Duties:
- Helping to organise children in the hall, classrooms and outside areas, encouraging good manners and supporting healthy eating
- Supervising, leading and supporting play activities and encouraging children to participate productively in lunchtime activities
- Promoting independence and positive behaviour
- Ensuring the safety and welfare of all our pupils
- Managing pupil behaviour at lunchtimes
- Dealing with minor first aid needs
- Assisting with associated duties (e.g. cleaning up spillages, ensuring pupil hygiene)
