We are seeking an empathetic and energetic SEMH Primary Teacher to join a specialist provision in Lewisham which is situated within a Mainstream School. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children outside of mainstream education, helping them overcome various barriers to learning and inspiring them to think positively about their future.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Engage with and teach students who are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education, including those with SEN.
  • Re-engage students with education, fostering a safe and stigma-free learning environment.
  • Establish nurturing and supportive relationships with students to help them overcome learning barriers.
  • Work as a proactive team player within a close-knit team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive teaching environment.
  • Utilise specialist training provided by the school to meet the complex needs of all students effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
  • Patient and nurturing disposition with a confident and outgoing personality.
  • Professional demeanor with experience in working with Additional Needs, which is advantageous to the application.
