SENDCO Vacancy – Croydon Primary School (Full-Time/Part-Time)

Clarus Education are seeking an experienced SENDCO to join one of our long-standing partnered schools. This exciting role is open to both full-time and part-time (0.8). The successful candidate will benefit from strong support from our Trust’s Head of SEND, as well as opportunities for SENDCo accreditation (NPQ for SENDCos).

 

The school is Ofsted-rated "Good" with an "Outstanding" EYFS and an Enhanced Learning Provision for SEND pupils.

 

Role: SENDCO

Location: Borough of Croydon

Contract: Full time or Part time (0.8)

Salary: MPS - UPS with SEND allowance

 

Key SENDCo responsibilities:

  • Lead SEND provision across the academy, ensuring all pupils with SEND make excellent progress
  • Work closely with teachers, external agencies, and parents to ensure tailored support for SEND pupils
  • Oversee the EHCP process and provide expert guidance to staff
  • Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders about the needs of SEND pupils
  • Assist with the development and implementation of SEND policies and strategies
  • Promote inclusion and a child-centred approach to learning across the Trust

 

 

The Ideal SENDCo will:

  • Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a minimum of an undergraduate degree
  • Ideally have the National Award for SENCo qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Possess outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Be a collaborative team player with a passion for inclusive education
  • Effectively advocate for SEND pupils and support colleagues with practical strategies
  • Be technically competent, with the ability to promote the Trust's work via social media
