Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Camden. This is a full-time position covering maternity leave for a period of 1 year. You will be responsible for teaching and supporting the development of students in Year 1, fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Year 1 curriculum.
- Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Assess, monitor, and record students' progress, ensuring that all learning needs are met.
- Collaborate with colleagues and teaching assistants to create a supportive classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and well-being.
- Uphold the school's policies and values, promoting a positive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in a primary school setting, ideally in Key Stage 1.
- Strong knowledge of the Year 1 curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Passionate about teaching and making a difference in children's lives.
- A valid DBS check (or willing to undergo one).
