A dynamic and inclusive primary school in Islington is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team from February 2025. This full-time position is to cover a maternity leave on a temporary one-year contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the Year 1 curriculum.
- Assess and track pupils' progress to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
- Create a positive and nurturing learning environment that supports academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to enhance pupils' learning experiences.
- Contribute to the wider school community and participate in school events and initiatives.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching in UK primary schools, preferably in KS1.
- Strong knowledge of the Year 1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- A commitment to fostering a love of learning in young children.
