Horizon Teachers are currently working with a good' 2-form entry primary school based in Newham are seeking a talented and dedicated year 2 Teacher to join their for the rest of the academic year. The roles are suitable for both experienced teachers and exceptional ECTs. It would be 4 days a week and the role would include the full responsibilities of a classroom teacher including PPA.

The school is rated "Good" by Ofsted, reflecting their commitment to providing a high-quality education for their students. They pride themselves on creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Create a positive and nurturing classroom environment that promotes active learning.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded educational experience.
  • Engage with parents and guardians, fostering strong home-school partnerships.

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children in a primary school setting, particularly in key stage 1.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to helping children reach their full potential.
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum and current teaching methods.
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
