About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally:

  • Have experience of working as a Class Teacher in a primary school
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Be enthusiastic, ambitious, and serious about improving children’s life chances through education
  • Be highly organised, conscientious, and able to set clear priorities when managing a busy workload
  • Be able to work cooperatively and communicate clearly with fellow colleagues, parents, and pupils
  • Have a ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to use your initiative
  • Be able to work flexibly and professionally

Job Responsibilities

As a Class Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in line with the curriculum
  • Assessing and monitoring pupils' progress, providing regular feedback to help guide their development
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes high standards and encourages students to achieve their best
  • Developing and implementing effective classroom management strategies
  • Working closely with colleagues to share resources and strategies to enhance pupil outcomes
  • Supporting children with additional needs and providing differentiated teaching to ensure all pupils can succeed
  • Communicating regularly with parents, carers, and colleagues to discuss student progress and address concerns

What the Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the primary school curriculum
  • Experience in delivering high-quality lessons and engaging with children in a positive way
  • The ability to foster strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • A commitment to personal and professional development
  • An innovative approach to teaching and the ability to adapt to the needs of all pupils
  • A passion for helping children succeed academically, socially, and emotionally
