Are you an experienced, confident KS2 Class Teacher looking for a new role this Spring? If so, Teach Plus want to hear from you!

Teach Plus are currently working with a welcoming, friendly, one form entry primary school located in Acton, Ealing. This school is seeking a KS2 Class Teacher for a Year 5 Class, to take on a maternity cover role starting in March until the end of the academic year. This role is potentially longer depending on the school's requirements for the new academic year.

The school is an Ofsted rated 'Good' school that has a wonderful, close-knit community feel. They are a nurturing, supportive school where all staff are committed to continuously improving standards for learning and behaviour. There are lots of opportunities for professional development within the school and the senior leadership team ensure that staff wellbeing is a top priority by organizing well-being events, managing workloads, and providing access to counselling services where required.

As a KS2 Class Teacher, you will be required to:

  • Take on full classroom responsibilities for a Year 5 class, including planning, preparation, marking and assessments
  • Plan and deliver lessons in line with the KS2 national curriculum
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to enhance learning
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to support student development
  • Uphold the school's values and contribute to a positive school culture

The ideal candidate for the KS2 Class Teacher role will have:

  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum
  • Recent teaching experience within KS2
  • A strong work ethic who is willing to commit from January until the end of the academic year
  • UK recognized Teaching Qualification with QTS
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
