Year 5 Teacher - Haringey - Start After Easter (21st April)

SANZA Teaching Agency is thrilled to be recruiting on behalf of a modern and inclusive primary school in Haringey. The school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their supportive and forward-thinking team, starting after the Easter break.

About the Role:

  • Position: Year 5 Teacher
  • Location: Mainstream primary school in Haringey
  • Start Date: 21st April 2025
  • End Date: July 2025 (end of the academic year)
  • Working Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Salary: MPS 1-5 (£198 - £241.38 per day)

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and guide a curious and enthusiastic Year 5 class, delivering engaging lessons that challenge and support students of all abilities. You will be responsible for planning and delivering the KS2 curriculum, ensuring that every student, including those with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), has the support they need to flourish academically and personally.

You will be joining a collaborative and welcoming teaching team that values creativity, active learning, and a child-centred approach. The school prides itself on inclusive teaching practices, a positive learning environment, and high expectations for both students and staff.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Year 5 Teacher who:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and has a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum
  • Has experience teaching Year 5 or similar age groups, with a track record of raising student achievement
  • Delivers engaging, well-structured lessons that encourage critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Is confident in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including high-achieving students and those requiring additional support
  • Manages behaviour effectively, using positive strategies to foster a focused and inclusive classroom environment
  • Utilises assessment for learning techniques, ensuring all students make excellent progress
  • Has strong communication skills, working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals
  • Is committed to professional development and keen to contribute to the wider school community
