Year 6 Class Teacher Job

In their most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was awarded a "Good" rating, with the inspectors stating that 'Staff encourage pupils to be kind and responsible.'About your role as a Year 6 Class TeacherAs a Year 6 Teacher, your role will include but is not limited to:

• Delivering a broad and balanced curriculum in line with School policy.
• Teaching from planned objectives, which take account of differentiation to achieve progression in pupil's learning, setting clear targets for pupils' learning based on prior attainment.
• Set, mark, and monitor the pupils' assigned work, including homework.
• Fulfil the School's and National assessment, recording and reporting system as appropriate.
• Manage, with support, the work of Learning Support Assistants and other helpers in class to enhance children's learning.
• Take part fully in primary school duties such as supervising playtimes, taking whole school assemblies and class assemblies.

• Hold all necessary qualifications suited to the post.
• Have recent experience of working in the education system.
• Have good interpersonal skills.
• Show good standards of professionalism, being well-organised and capable of working to policy and procedure to agreed timescales.
