Year 6 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover) - January 2024 Start

Tradewind Recruitment is excited to be working with a highly regarded primary school in Hainault, Redbridge, seeking an exceptional Year 6 Class Teacher to cover maternity leave. This is a full-time position, starting in January 2024, offering a unique opportunity for an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher to lead a well-established class through an important phase in their learning journey.

The Role:

As a Year 6 Class Teacher, you will take full responsibility for planning and delivering an engaging and challenging curriculum to pupils, ensuring they are fully prepared for their transition to secondary school. With SATs preparation being a key focus, you will need to use your knowledge and skills to support the academic progress of all pupils, while also fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

You will work closely with a supportive leadership team, as well as parents and carers, to ensure the children's well-being and academic development. The school is known for its friendly atmosphere, strong community ties, and whole child approach.

Key Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6

Strong understanding of the national curriculum and SATs preparation

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

A passion for making a positive impact on children's lives

Salary: Main Pay Scale 2-5
