Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant who is familiar working with Autism and Physical disabilities. Do you have your CACHE Level 1 early years qualification or higher? Would you like to join a specialist SEND school as a SEND Teaching Assistant supporting vulnerable children in the early years setting? Are you looking to enhance your skills and expertise within a school setting as a Teaching Assistant before embarking on a Teaching career?

SANZA Teaching Agency is currently working with a specialist SEND school based in the borough of Wandsworth currently looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant who is familiar working with autism and/or Physical disabilities to join their team. This position is due to start in January 2025 and on a full-time basis until the end of the 2024/25 academic year with an opportunity for a permanent contract for September 2025. The position of SEND Teaching Assistant is paying a daily rate of £90.00 to £105.00 per day.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant in this school your role will be to work with a mixed Early years class consisting of 10 children who have Autism and Physical disabilities. Some of these children are wheel chairbound so there are some hoisting responsibilities as well as personal care. This wonderful school is doing an excellent job to support these children with state of the art facilities and they are looking for an experienced SEND TA to join their team.

To be shortlisted for this SEND Teaching Assistant role, you will need to have:

  • SEND Experience working with Autism and/or Physical disabilities
  • CACHE Level 1 early years qualification or higher
  • A passion for working with SEND children
  • Patient with a sense of humour
  • Confident in working independently or in a group setting
