Are you a graduate passionate about supporting children's education and development? A vibrant and inclusive Primary School in Islington is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time position is offered through an agency and provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide academic and pastoral support to children in the classroom, under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Work with small groups and individual students to help them achieve their learning goals.
- Support children with additional needs, tailoring your approach to suit their individual requirements.
- Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Requirements
- A degree in Psychology, Sport, Social Care, Arts, Education, or a related field is desirable.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting children's development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to different learning environments and work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with children.
- A current enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
