A Good Secondary School based in Hackney with excellent transport links are seeking to appoint an experienced Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join them full time as soon as possible.

The Trust are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant, with a specialism in Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, to work under the guidance of the SENDCo, to support the educational, social, and emotional development of students with SEMH needs, ensuring they can achieve their full potential at the Academy.

You will be working under the direction of the SENDCO who is seeing an experienced SEMH LSA with the following:

  • Experience and training in Trauma and Attachment - Essential for the role
  • Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH), ADHD, Autism and ODD
  • Can tailor learning to meet individual learning needs
  • Works well within a team sharing best practices
  • Degree - Desirable
  • Flexible, calm and be able to support the Academy’s ethos.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - MUST!
