- Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons to meet the unique needs of students with autism and SEMH, creating a calm and structured learning environment.
- Collaborate closely with 2 teaching assistants to provide consistent and targeted support for each student.
- Implement and adapt individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies as needed.
- Foster social, emotional, and academic development, using a range of techniques to help students build confidence and independence.
- Attend training provided in CPI Safety Intervention, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEND or ARP settings (preferable).
- Experience working with students with autism and SEMH needs at the primary level.
- Strong behaviour management skills, with an empathetic, calm, and consistent approach.
- Ability to commit fully through to the end of the academic year, ensuring continuity for students.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, working collaboratively with TAs and other staff.
