We are recruiting on behalf of a primary school with a specialist Year 5/6 Autism Resource Provision (ARP) class supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This class has a small group size of up to 7 students and is supported by 2 experienced teaching assistants. This role is ideal for a teacher who is consistent, compassionate, and committed to providing a supportive learning environment for students with additional needs.Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons to meet the unique needs of students with autism and SEMH, creating a calm and structured learning environment.
Collaborate closely with 2 teaching assistants to provide consistent and targeted support for each student.
Implement and adapt individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies as needed.
Foster social, emotional, and academic development, using a range of techniques to help students build confidence and independence.
Attend training provided in CPI Safety Intervention, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.

Candidate Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEND or ARP settings (preferable).
Experience working with students with autism and SEMH needs at the primary level.
Strong behaviour management skills, with an empathetic, calm, and consistent approach.
Ability to commit fully through to the end of the academic year, ensuring continuity for students.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, working collaboratively with TAs and other staff.
