We are looking for a passionate HLTA to join a lovely school in South London. In this role, you will primarily teach and lead PE, so relevant qualifications are desired. You will also be responsible for teaching other curriculum subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver PE lessons to KS1 and KS2 pupils during teacher PPA cover.
  • Support the class teacher in managing the classroom, ensuring a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Provide individual and small group support to pupils, including those with SEND or EAL needs.
  • Assist with planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities to support children's academic progress.
  • Monitor pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and supporting assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to contribute to whole-class and targeted interventions.
  • Support behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
  • Engage with parents and carers, providing updates on pupil progress where necessary.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant sports qualifications
  • Experience working in KS1/KS2, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Experience delivering lessons and managing a classroom effectively.
  • A passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong behaviour management skills
