Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)Location: Camden, LondonStart Date: January 6th, 2025Contract Type: Full-Time
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? An exciting opportunity has arisen through our agency for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Camden.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Work collaboratively with teachers and specialists to implement tailored strategies.
- Support the child's academic, social, and emotional development.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour in a compassionate manner.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, or Global Developmental Delay is preferred.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to the unique needs of the child.
- DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
