About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and professional Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful primary school in Greenwich, supporting year groups ranging from EYFS, to KS1 to KS2. In this role, you will contribute significantly to the educational, social, and emotional growth of the children, ensuring their progress and wellbeing throughout the school day. Also conducting lessons where neccessary if you have the qualificationa and experience to do so.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a very supportive team, helping children develop essential and important skills through engaging lessons and activities. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to children through one-on-one sessions and small group activities.
- Assist teachers in preparing resources and maintaining an engaging and fun classroom environment.
- Facilitate children's learning and development through structured activities and play.
- Observe and document children's progress, sharing insights with staff and parents as needed.
- Ensure you are abiding by safeguarding policies.
Requirements
- Experience as a Primary School Teaching Assistant in a school setting is desirable.
- A caring, patient approach with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to adapt to the unique needs of children and foster their personal growth.
- A thorough understanding of safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
