A highly-respected specialist school, based within a hospital in North London, are looking for an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their staff in September on a full-time basis.

The Role

In this role you will be based within the school’s classrooms however, you will also occasionally get the opportunity to go onto the ward if this is something you are interested in. This is an SEMH role so the pupils you will be working with will have social, emotional and mental health needs for example anxiety, eating disorders, behavioural issues, depression etc. You would never be left alone with the pupils and will always have support from the Teacher as well as other members of staff within the classroom.

The school are looking for an SEMH Teaching Assistant with KS1 and KS2 experience and someone with a good academic background who can support very able pupils with SEMH.

This role is offered on a full-time contract basis from September 2024 to July 2025. The hours of the role are 9:30am - 4:30am Monday - Friday.

This specialist school is set within the grounds of a North London hospital. The school supports children with a range of needs including those who are based in the hospital long-term. The school is run by a highly experienced senior leadership team and benefits from a dedicated and established teaching and support staff team. There are excellent facilities to truly meet the needs of all pupils and they are experts in adaptations. The school are also OFSTED rated Outstanding.
