As a Psychology Learning Support Assistant in Islington, you will support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, working with those who may have behavioral challenges or special educational needs. Your role will involve working closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support, create engaging learning materials, and track student progress. This role is ideal for someone who has a psychology background and is interested in a career in education and training.
Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 support and group support for students with additional needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to develop and adapt learning materials.
- Implement behavioral support strategies in a constructive manner.
- Help students develop social, emotional, and academic skills.
- A degree in Psychology or related field.
- Prior experience or interest in working with young people in an educational setting.
- A passion for promoting inclusive education and training.
- Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
