Job Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Supply Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team starting in October 2024. This part-time role involves providing support across various classes, assisting with lesson preparations, and contributing to the educational development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom teachers in delivering effective teaching and learning.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help.
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of students during activities and break times.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support the emotional and social development of students.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role.
  • Understanding of primary school curriculum and child development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children.
  • Basic IT skills for administrative tasks and educational software.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in education or child care is desirable.
  • First Aid certification is an advantage.
  • Cache Level 1,2 or 3
