SANZA Teaching Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Supply Teaching Assistant to join a diverse and welcoming primary school in Islington. This role involves providing general classroom support across Reception to Year 6, as well as offering tailored 1:1 support to students with special educational needs (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with the preparation and delivery of lessons across Reception to Year 6.
  • Provide focused 1:1 support to SEND students, adapting to their individual needs and learning styles.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum areas as directed by the class teacher.
  • Work closely with the SENDCo to implement individual learning plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a safe, encouraging atmosphere for all students, including those with additional needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with primary-aged children (Reception to Year 6).
  • Experience supporting children with SEND in either 1:1 or group settings.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children reach their full potential.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different classes and with various needs.
