About the Role:

I am recruiting a dedicated Learning Support Assistant with robust behaviour management skills to support a Year 2 class immediately. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing one-to-one and small group support to students who may present with behavioural challenges. Your focus will be to promote positive behaviour, enhance learning outcomes, and contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing tailored behaviour management strategies to foster a constructive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
  • Support individual students and small groups, adapting your approach to meet their unique learning and behavioural needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure consistent, positive approaches to behaviour.
  • Use your creativity and resilience to adapt quickly to dynamic situations, ensuring each student feels understood, supported, and encouraged.

About You:

  • Experienced: Background working as a Learning Support Assistant or similar role, ideally with a focus on behaviour management.
  • Strong Behaviour Management: Demonstrated ability to implement effective strategies to guide students in a positive, supportive manner.
  • Empathetic & Patient: Able to build meaningful relationships with students, fostering trust and respect.
  • Adaptable & Resilient: Comfortable in a dynamic school setting, handling challenges with a calm, proactive approach.
