About the Role:

  • I am seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant with experience in SEN to join our welcoming and supportive team.
  • In this role, you will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to support children with additional needs, helping them to develop confidence, independence, and key early learning skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support for children with SEN, including autism, speech & language difficulties, and other additional needs.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging, play-based learning activities.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support children's development.
  • Use effective strategies to manage behaviour and promote positive interactions.

About You:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in an Early Years setting.
  • Experience supporting children with SEN, with a good understanding of individual needs and strategies.
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent) - desirable but not essential.
