A top 200 law firm is currently on the lookout for a Private Client Director to join their team in Central LondonKey Responsibilities:
  • Assist with casework for Wills, Probate, and Lasting Powers of Attorney, including contesting wills, settling tax liabilities, and handling final affairs.
  • Report directly to and collaborate with the Board to meet performance objectives.
  • Supervise a team of solicitors, trainee solicitors, and paralegals, ensuring the efficient handling of private client work.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, handling a range of complexities with care.
  • Engage with clients, take instructions, and prepare cases accordingly.
  • Handle correspondence and ensure accurate time management and costing.
  • Conduct probation reviews for new staff and oversee monthly file reviews to ensure timely follow-up actions.
  • Ensure all work complies with file management and regulatory standards.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience in team management, working to KPIs such as chargeables and billing.
  • Extensive expertise in Wills & Probate, with the capability to manage privately funded cases.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Must hold a valid, clean Practicing Certificate at the time of application.
  • Professional, proactive approach with exceptional client care skills and the ability to handle sensitive matters.
  • Strong networking and communication skills, with a talent for marketing the firm and generating new business opportunities.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
  • Advocacy experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in IT, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and document management systems.
