Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Temporary Porter/Cleaner in York Way Estate for an initial 3 months

The hours of work is 35hrs Per Week (8am - 5pm Monday to Friday)
Location: Market Road N7
Pay rate: 16.83

To provide a comprehensive cleaning and porter service to a high standard by ensuring an efficient, effective delivery service to all the residents on the estates.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • The cleaning of internal common areas of the residential blocks, e.g. entrances,

stairways, corridors, landings, lifts, external communal pathways, etc. as set out in the

Residents Service Level Agreement handbook, and Cleaning and Maintenance Schedule

  • Daily/weekly completion of cleaning schedule task sheets.
  • Maintain cleaning to a high standard in conjunction with the Estate Officer/Management/Resident inspections.
  • The delivery of internal mail and other items to individual flats as directed.
  • To maintain communal notice board standards. Including the daily upkeep of the cleaning schedules.
  • The daily reporting of any defects, including any lights out on repairs sheet.
  • The use of cleaning fluids and cleaning machinery as appropriate.
  • To carry out general health and safety checks.
  • Snow clearing, salting and gritting of affected areas when necessary.
  • Providing good customer care to residents so that an agreeable and professional relationship is maintained between staff and residents.
  • Maintain standards of appropriate clothing whilst on duty. A uniform is provided and must be worn at all times whilst on duty. This includes appropriate footwear in line with DSE requirement.
