Established for over 35 years, the company operates from 12 offices around the world, and with over 140 employees.Their growing International Market Expansion practice is now looking to add a French-speaking Business Development Associate to their team to be based in London, with potential to move to France after 1-2 years.An ideal candidate will have a STEM or Business/Management degree and also have a deep interest and experience of Asia (Japan, South Korea, China, ASEAN, India). You will also be keen to work in sales and marketing, and have a desire to help western companies expand into Asia. The role of a Business Development AssociateIn this role you will be working closely with the senior business development team to discover, engage and convert new clients to help them expand into Asia. You will be supporting the global team across Europe, North America and Asia through research, outreach, proposals account management and marketing.You will be identifying high-growth potential companies from a diverse pool of innovative startups, scale-ups and SMEs in fields including AI, quantum, deeptech, photonics, semiconductors, net-zero, etc. You will then be engaging prospective clients through emails, calls, meetings and trade show visits, and will be targeting CEOs, CCOs and CTOs. You will regularly travel to France (potentially 1 week per month) and have the opportunity to travel within Europe and on occasion to Asia.Your background

- Native level French speaker with excellent writing skills. Fluent English.

- University degree ideally in STEM sciences of Business/Management.

- An interest in Sales and Marketing

- Experience of living in Asia, (Japan, South Korea, India or China) is highly desirable but not essential.

- As is the ability to speak Japanese, Korean, Hindi or Mandarin again is highly desirable but not essential.
