Electrical Testing Engineer | London & Surrounding Areas | Permanent Position | £38,000 - £42,000 with Potential Bonuses & Overtime Opportunities

Vector Recruitment Solutions is acting on behalf of its client who are a well-established electrical contractor, operating across London and the South East. Specialising in various sectors including domestic, commercial maintenance, fire alarms/emergency lighting, social housing, local authorities, school projects, and EV charging contracts. They are actively seeking skilled Electrical Engineers for their Domestic EICR and remedial contracts based in London and surrounding areas.

Candidates should possess the necessary knowledge and expertise to meet the required standards for these projects. The company has multiple contracts throughout London & the South East.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting EICR assessments on domestic properties and associated communal areas.
  • Performing remedial work, such as replacing consumer units, light fixtures, and general electrical accessories.
  • Upgrading communal areas, including lighting and electrical intakes.
  • Executing full and partial rewires after unsatisfactory EICRs.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing faults in electrical installations.

Candidate Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • City and Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) or an equivalent certification.
  • City and Guilds 2391 or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory (competence will be assessed).
  • Experience in social housing or domestic testing is advantageous.
  • A valid driving license.
  • Successful candidates will undergo an enhanced DBS check upon appointment.
