Sterling Williams are working alongside a financial institution that are seeking a Product Manager to join their highly succesful business. The Product Manager is a product champion and subject matter expert that is responsible for providing voice of client for our European clients covering existing system features and functionality and new strategic initiatives with a good understanding of external market influences including accelerated settlement cycles.The position entails leading multiple internal stakeholder meetings and representing the Company and assigned Department in various external client facing engagements on projects and new initiativesAs a Product Manager you will work closely in support of the (System) Product leadership team in developing strategy, partner channels, and new products that will drive growth and increase adoption across the platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inform and drive the long-term roadmap, while also being an individual contributor on specific workstreams and projects, including evolution of cloud usage.
- Provide VOC for European clients against new strategic initiatives and external market influences, including UK and EU move to shorter settlement cycles.
- Partner with the Application Development and Operations teams to design and implement new features, processes and capabilities which drive operational efficiency and client value
- Perform market and product fit analysis to assess (System) expansion and collaboration opportunities
- Continuously leverage market and company data, as well as direct customer and internal stakeholder feedback, to identify both problem areas and opportunities for future product concepts
- Maintain a proficiency in the competitive environment, industry trends, and current state strengths and gaps
- Champion strategic direction and value proposition across various internal and external partners
- Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors, and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
- Collaborate with product management peers globally to ensure best practice and core principals are understood, adopted, and implemented in regional initiatives
- Provides Voice of client feedback on requirements documents that may impact their initiatives or product offerings. This will also include analysis of projects that have not yet been budgeted but may be in scope for future Book of Work inclusion.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience
- Supreme knowledge of the Broker/Dealer client segment
- Desirable knowledge of cloud capabilities, including use of Snowflake
- Knowledge of the front to back trade lifecycle, including transaction matching, PSET matching & Settlements
- The candidate must be proficient in depicting and describing business impact assessments between current-state and various future state business models.
- Results-driven individual with proven experience in matrix leadership skills
- Demonstrated outstanding written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to develop and conduct presentations for clients, prospects, and executive management
- Demonstrated outstanding conceptual and analytical skills with ability to identify, analyze, and quickly evaluate alternatives and formulate responses to resolve business and customer problems
- Ability to make effective decisions even under pressure while considering immediate and long-term consequences of the decision
- Ability to prioritise simultaneously and meet deadlines, self-motivated and encourages others to be the same, work comfortably in a fast-paced environment and within group settings, have an ability to think creatively and strategically and have an ability to stay calm under stress and uncertainty.
