Product Owner- Insurance

We are currently hiring for a Product Owner with Third-Party Risk Management experience to join one of our Insurance clients on a 6-month contract.

Hybrid- 2 days a week onsite.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business sponsors and stakeholder to define and prioritise features, ensuring alignment with customer needs and organisational goals.
  • Collaborate with the GRS Architecture Team and assigned Architect to make sure that architecture direction and decisions relating to the technologies supporting the platform are appropriately discussed and debated to get to the best outcomes for the customer.
  • Own and maintain the product backlog and be accountable for its maintenance.
  • Work effectively as part of a team alongside the Scrum Master, development team and other team members, clarifying business requirements, removing roadblocks and open issues/questions as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Contribute to Portfolio level 30/60/90-day planning sessions.
  • responsible for developing clear, actionable user stories.
  • Line management of Product Analysts
  • Support and (where necessary) organise product Sprint demonstrations, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Communicate expected value and any changes in value to be delivered in each iteration based on the capacity, as determined by the development team.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in acting as a Product owner / delivery lead within a team focusing on Third Party Supplier and Risk management and any associated Regulations
  • Proven experience of global stakeholder management
  • Experience shaping cross enterprise operating models and ensuring their effective adoption
  • Extensive experience in acting as a Product Owner within a team within a team focused on Regulatory and Risk Management initiatives.??
  • Considerable relevant industry or functional experience in Insurance, including in Speciality, Commercial and ideally M&A business and associated product lines
  • Extensive experience of management of third-party suppliers and development teams, either on-shore or off-shore
  • Track record of implementing solutions and changes with realised, measurable value
  • Ability to influence the direction and thinking of senior stakeholders and capture complex requirements in a prioritised backlog
  • Strong teamwork, co-ordination, organisation and planning skills
  • Insurance/ Reinsurance experience.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within or alongside a procurement function
  • Experience with the Aravo platform and its processes
