Mechanical Quality Inspector- North London

To £68,000 DOE + £5,000 Car Allowance + Net Daily Allowance

We are assisting a leading mechanical and electrical contractor specialising in delivering high-quality services for a variety of industries in their search for an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanical Quality Inspector. As a Mechanical Quality Inspector, you will be overseeing and ensuring the quality and compliance of mechanical systems and installations including developing and implementing quality control plans, conducting inspections, audits, tests, and collaborating with construction teams to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System specific to mechanical installations ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, codes, and regulations.

  • Perform regular site inspections of mechanical installations including tests on mechanical systems, grounding, wiring, and equipment, to verify quality & functionality.

  • Ensure all mechanical construction activities comply with project specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Work closely with project managers, mechanical engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure quality of work.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records/documentations of all quality-related activities for quality reports to senior management and project stakeholders.

  • Identify potential mechanical quality risks and implement measures to address any quality-related risks.

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • Significant years of experience in quality assurance and quality control roles of mechanical systems.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and industry standards.

  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
