The Project:
Ardmore is delivering a £75M contract for our client, constructing four brick-clad blocks up to 8 stories high, providing 190 mixed-tenure residential units and over 4,000sqm of commercial space around Hackney Wick Station.
The scheme includes high-spec interiors, retail and leisure space, low-cost workspaces, landscaped public realm, and over-station elements, enhancing Hackney Wick’s creative and community-focused character.
The Role:
The main duty of a Mechanical Supervisor is to oversee installation work conducted by mechanical tradespeople. Mechanical Supervisor conducts inspections, ensuring the safety procedures are being adhered to and maintains inventory of machine parts.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate mechanical services and ensure seamless integration with other trades.
- Plan and schedule work to align with project timelines.
- Manage the installation of heating and ventilation systems.
- Oversee procurement and timely delivery of materials.
- Ensure QA compliance for the installation of all primary equipment.
- Verify and sign off heating and cold water tests before wall and ceiling closures.
- Conduct QA inspections for flat ducting installations per project specifications.
- Oversee and witness all system testing, including inhibitor flushing, chlorination flushing, flow rate measurements, and MVHR extract performance tests.
We’re Looking For:
- Experience working in a similar role as a mechanical supervisor or similar.
- Experience working on residential or mixed used building projects.
- Mechanical Trade Qualification: A strong foundation in mechanical trades is essential i.e NVQ in Plumbing or Heating.
- Supervision Experience: Prior experience in supervising mechanical installations is highly valued.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of piping systems, Ability to interpret drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and regulations

- Field view and 4 Projects knowledge
