Are you an experienced programme planner with a background in managing large-scale transformation initiatives? We are looking for a Programme Planner to take ownership of our clients integrated programme plan, working closely with stakeholders across the UK, global teams, and external partners. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that their transformation programme stays on track, identifying risks and issues, and communicating these effectively to all levels of seniority.

Key Responsibilities or the Programme Planner:

  • Develop and maintain the Programme Plan, ensuring it aligns with global project timelines and includes input from all UK workstreams and external partners.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure their individual plans feed seamlessly into the overall programme, supporting successful and timely deliveries.
  • Track and monitor progress across various workstreams, identifying potential impacts on the critical delivery path and proactively addressing deviations.
  • Utilise tools such as Jira and Confluence to track progress, highlight risks, and ensure that stakeholders are kept up-to-date with key developments and challenges.
  • Escalate issues impacting the critical path, ensuring timely resolutions are in place to minimise delays or disruptions.
  • Ensure the transformation programme plan meets the reporting needs for different audiences, including senior management and board-level updates.
  • Support the creation of a benefits realisation plan, aligned with the key delivery milestones and ensuring alignment with broader programme goals.
  • Challenge and influence a wide range of stakeholders across the UK and global programme to ensure adherence to priorities and timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with other teams within the Transformation Management Office (TMO) to ensure programme objectives are clearly understood and met.

Skills & Experience required of the Programme Planner:

  • Extensive planning experience in large-scale transformation programmes, with a solid understanding of change management and communication processes.
  • Strong experience in using Jira and Confluence for project tracking and management.
  • Proficient in project management techniques, including governance, estimation, planning, scheduling, risk management, and reporting.
  • Confident communicator, with a proven ability to manage stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite, and effectively challenge deviations from the plan.
  • Experience using MS Office Suite, MS Project, and MS Excel for planning and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage long-term projects across multi-geographical teams and integrate external vendor plans into a unified programme timeline.
  • Experience of working within an FCA regulated industry
