ITS are looking for an Assistant Project Manager in Haringey, London, for a permanent position with a leading contractor in the Building & Civil Engineering sector.
Overview:
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of complex construction projects from inception to completion. You will work alongside the Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in coordinating and managing day-to-day project activities.
- Support the planning, scheduling, and monitoring of project timelines and budgets.
- Ensure effective communication between all stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Assist in the management of procurement processes, including the sourcing of materials and services.
- Monitor site progress and quality, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Help prepare project reports, documentation, and presentations for clients and senior management.
- Assist in the management of project risks and issues, providing solutions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, costs, and project correspondence.
Skills & Qualifications:
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a project management or site management role within the building or civil engineering sector.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, contract management, and project delivery.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar).
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive attitude and a keen willingness to learn and develop within the role.
