Knowledge Exchange & Research Project Manager

A Knowledge Exchange & Research Project Manager is required for a University in the South East. This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovation team to focus on research and innovation programmes. It is essential that you have experience of knowledge exchange gained within a Public Sector environment for this role. Candidates without this experience cannot be considered for this role.

Purpose of Role:

To support research activities through the management of support processes and facilitation of communication within an academic department in the university, with external key stakeholders and funding bodies.You will also ensure the efficient operation of an academic unit, contributing to the success of research initiatives

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the support processes and workflows related to knowledge exchange and research projects, grants, and funding applications
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of research proposals, grant applications, and progress reports to funding bodies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of research activities, budgets, and expenditures
  • Provide support for the organisation of knowledge exchange and research-related events, conferences, and meetings
  • Facilitate effective communication between the academic departments, external research partners and funding agencies

Experience required:

  • Experienced in and an understanding of Knowledge exchange essential
  • Organised
  • Good communicator
  • Understands and adheres to processes
  • Degree in relevant discipline
