Project Lead/Manager (Audit/Risk Project)

Rate - 500 (A Day)

Duration - 6 Months (Initially)

Location - London (Hybrid)

Ir35 - Inside (Must use an umbrella company)

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high level of project planning and milestone management. This is to include the application of key deliverables, management of resources and the communication of essential procurement criteria as assessed by the projects statement of requirements.

Primary deliverables

  • To drive the procurement and implementation of an audit and risk software and to migrate this process to the new audit and risk software in addition to managing any implementation plans.
  • To manage and report on actions (monthly and quarterly reporting timelines) and to migrate this to the chosen audit and risk software.
  • Stakeholder management and communication on audit actions throughout the audit cycle, including regular briefings with Executive sponsors on emerging findings.
  • Project management of procurement and implementation of new audit and risk software requirements against the agreed statement of requirements.
  • Management and implementation of current audit action process.

Secondary deliverables

  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly reports to Executive Directors and ARAC members.
  • Support IA teams on action tracking to their conclusion.
  • Process and closure of actions in accordance with instructions from Senior Auditors, Managers or Head of Internal Audit.
  • Migration from a manual to an automated action tracking process

Minimum Criteria

  • Sound approach to project management and reporting
  • Flexible and agile approach - responsive to urgent management requests, reprioritising and adapting to changing circumstances. Proactive, curious, and engaged with internal audit / risk stakeholders.
  • Impactful interpersonal & communication skills, ability to interact with senior management and apply problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in audit / risk across all stages of the audit/risk lifecycle, including the monitoring and follow up of audit actions and quarterly reporting.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in project managing the implementation, end user acceptance testing and supplier management, of an audit or risk software.
  • Knowledge of the financial sector and the regulatory context would be helpful (but not essential).
