Project Manager - Blinds/Shading Solutions

55,000 to 70,000 plus package

My client is looking for a project manager who will be working across several sites and for several main contractors. This role will be mainly based on sites across sites in London and the South East with visits necessary to their offices in Farnham.

Performance Objective

  • Deliver projects on time and within budget
  • 100% completion of Tech & Sample Subs and Drawings for all projects
  • Improve delivered GP versus estimated GP
  • Manage cashflow aspects (prompt submission of Application for Payments, just-in-time deliveries of materials)
  • Ensure all Change & Variation is processed with attention to Commercial and Contractual detail

Role and Responsibilities

  • Receive project handover from the Sales team
  • Arrange with site for final measure, survey for Risk Assessment, and liaise with client re installation program, interface with other trades etc.
  • Ensure that design documents, technical submittals, sample submittals and scope of works have been submitted/uploaded and receive A status
  • Prepare required contract documents including Risk Assessment & Method Statements or delegate to responsible members of the team
  • Ensure all blinds and other products are in production/on order in accordance with program and in a way that maximizes cash flow
  • Appoint sub contract installer &/or allocate fitting time on installation control board
  • Arrange hire of access equipment if required
  • Ensure installers are fully briefed on Methods, Risks, & Environmental issues as applicable and are operating to quality standards. For major projects arrange to visit site at commencement to ensure all details are attended to
  • Provide weekly report on larger projects including profitability & cashflow tracking
  • Assist with Work-in Progress reporting at the end of each month
  • Ensure applications for payments are accurate and submitted on time every month
  • Deal with any variations issued from the contractor for change
  • Promptly close out snags with detailed care for the Client and the project
  • Complete final handover & commissioning, providing a full Fieldwire report per project

Requirements

  • Experience in the construction industry
  • Experience running multiple projects
  • Ability to work well in high pressure environments
  • Good computer skills
